Our Story: A Tale of AI, Frustration, and a Solution

This app was born from that exact experience.

After spending two days building a project, I hit a wall. My AI assistant, despite its constant apologies, kept suggesting outdated dependency versions for my package.json. It didn't matter how I threatened or re-phrased my prompts; I was stuck in a loop of incorrect, legacy information that was causing my project to fail.

I got fed up. I realized I needed a tool that I could trust implicitly—a source of truth that wasn't subject to an AI's training data or whims. So, I built this.

NPM Lookup by EZbot connects directly to the official NPM registry to give you the latest, most accurate version information for any package, every single time. You get a copy-paste-ready line for your project, plus an AI-powered summary that gives you the insights you need—without the risk of outdated versions.

My mission is to help fellow AI programmers and developers-in-training. I built this to ensure that I, and now you, are always using the correct, up-to-date versions and never get fooled by an AI again.
